LUXSIL

LUXSIL is a high-tech hydrophilic softener designed for textile finishing. The Amino functional  long fatty acid chains give  performance   compared to conventional cationic and reactive softeners. The new polymeric structure combined with Micro Emulsion Technology adds unique dimension to the properties and application of LUXSIL in textile finishing.

Due to its high affinity, LUXSIL is able to bind to fibres and fabrics from water dispersion and this binding is more retentive compared to normal Silicones or Stearate based softeners.

LUXSIL  is specially designed for Cotton Knits, Rayon and 100% Cotton Terry Towels.

Features

Polymeric Structure

notes

Recommended dosage for padding various fabrics and their blends is 0.75 – 3 grams per litre of LUXSIL at 70 – 100% wet expression. The fabric should be processed further as usual.

For exhaustion, use 0.1 to 0.5% on weight of goods.

A slight yellowing of white fabric treated with LUXSIL may be caused by prolonged exposure to heat above 1500C.

LUXSIL is a 98 ± 2% concentrated product and with proper stirring it can be easily dissolved in water to get the required concentration.  One can prepare 10 – 20% concentrated solution of LUXSIL and make it easy to use on the shop floor.

Solutions when prepared at 5%, 10%, 15% & 20% are translucent and all are stable at room temprature for minimum one week.  Such solutions can be used as regular softeners with other ingredients in finish bath (adjust pH to 4 – 4.5 by adding acetic acid).

The material should be stored below 400 C in shaded area.

The product on ageing may show slight hazyness when solubilizing in water but it does not affect the performance of the product.  It can be corrected by adding acetic acid and maintaining pH of 4 – 4.5.

The solution of LUXSIL is stable to dilute acids but not to metal salts and hard water above 3000 ppm.

Stable for 6 months if stored in a shade at room temprature.

RAN-2000

SPECIALLY DESIGNED AMINO ACRYLATE LIQUID POLYMER TO IMPART SURFACE SMOOTHNESS, BINDING AND RESILIENCE TO THE FABRIC.

RAN-2000 has been designed using various speciality adhesion promoting monomers to replace (at 15 to 20% reduced cost)  products used in finishing recipe such as Polyacrylamide solution, Styrene Butadine Rubber Latex, Polyvinyl Alcohol solution

The cationic nature of this product gives surface smoothness along with some stiffness and body to the fabric.

Features

Benefits
Polymeric Structure Higher degree of surface smoothness.
Imparts sufficient adhesion
Plastisizing Nature Improves crease resistance.
Offers unique surface properties Leads to enhanced wetting & penetration alongwith high degree of adhesion
Concentrated Product Cost effective due to reduced space requirement
Good Compatibility Compatible with textile finish recipes.( except anionics )

Colour Pale Yellow liquid dispersion
Diluent Water
Nature Cationic
Solid content 38 +/- 2%

Dilution Process

Prepare 5% of RAN-2000 paste as follows#003399

  • Stir RAN-2000 for 5 minutes in the carboy before use.
  • Take 50 ltrs of water and start adding 10 kg. weighed RAN-2000 uniformly in it. The viscosity will start increasing. Keep adding water along with RAN-2000 slowly, and maintain the viscosity. Stir well for 20 minutes and finally bring water level upto 200 ltrs .
  • If hard water is used for dissolution, heat the water to 70 – 800C and then dissolve RAN – 2000.
  • Store it in covered drums for ready use.

COST SAVING

note

  • In stiff finish recipe, use required amount of Polyvinyl Acetate based product.
  • Reduce the softener quantity by 10-25% .
  • A 100 ltrs. finish bath should not contain more than 10 kgs. of 5% RAN-2000 (excess quantity may result in imparting excessive grip to the fabric).
  • The cost saving mentioned above is based on our own experience. However, this may vary with reference to the substrate and other ingredients.

  • Keep RAN-2000 carboy upside down during long storage conditions.
  • Shake RAN-2000 carboy for 5-10 minutes before sending it to the user’s department.
  • Always replace the cap after the material is removed from the carboy.
