K-2000-ML series of water based coloured inks are specially formulated to replace PVC based plastisol inks. These are suitable for printing on knitted goods and stretchable fabrics using chest printing machines with intermittent drying.
K-2000-ML coloured inks have excellent stretchability, gloss and feel. Other water based inks which are generally available for printing on knitted goods break easily and give a dull mat finish on the surface.
K-2000-ML/MH coloured inks have been specially formulated with resinated polymers which allow the printer to have very soft, rubbery feel, glossy finish and excellent block out ability on dark background with excellent wash and crock fastness.

K-2000-ML coloured inks have been specially designed with very high open time for machine printing for knits and lycra containing stretchable fabrics. Most of the water based systems give poor open time for high viscosity conventional inks and have poor transfer characteristics. K-2000-ML coloured inks enable the machine printer to generate photoprints by using upto 300 mesh screens with excellent throughput. One should always keep the screen flooded during reverse strokes.
K-2000-ML coloured inks have excellent flow characteristics and if needed the viscosity can be increased by adding especiality thickener ZASE-5100 to the tune of 0.2 – 1.0% as per need. This allows the printer to have control on the transfer characteristics which helps to achieve the required deposition of the inks on the base fabric. Most of the screens have different meshes and different designs requiring slight adjustment in viscosity, which typically is not easy to achieve with plastisol inks. K-2000-ML coloured inks allow the printer to adjust viscosity at his own will. The printer can add water or any compatible binder to reduce the viscosity as per his need.
K-2000-ML coloured inks have been made available in eight basic pure pigmented colours: Black, Blue, Green, Orange, Red, Violet, White and Yellow. These coloured inks are capable of mixing with each other in all proportions to generate any kind of standard colours. By choosing the right combination, one can achieve the brightness or flatness of the final colour using the knowledge of the colour chemistry. Technical assistance will be available to generate the desired shade for any specific need of the printer.
K-2000-REDUCER is a paste for dilution which is made available to formulate pastel, light & medium shades by mixing with the concentrated colour and White ink, if needed, to improve the opacity of the final ink formulation. K-2000-REDUCER is available at substantially lower cost compared to K-2000-ML/MH coloured inks to allow the printer to achieve cost effectiveness.
NOTE: PVC inks are banned in some of the western countries and K-2000-ML/MH coloured inks are the first series of water based PVC free inks which have performance characteristics equivalent to plastisol inks. K-2000-ML/MH coloured inks have a better feel and stretchability due to its special resin chemistry compared to PVC based plastisol inks. Typically, K-2000-ML/MH coloured inks are capable of generating dry and crock fastness of 3-4 in all deep shades and have excellent wash fastness. These characteristics allow the printer to meet international standards.
Stable for 6-12 months, if stored in a shade, at room temperature, in a closed container.
Being water based inks, evaporation of water can lead to destabilisation of final ink formulation. After opening the container, one must add small quantity (50-100 gm) of water and seal it tightly to avoid water loss from surface and avoid drying of upper surface.
